Sherwood has a variety of social events every year. Some are for the adults, some for kids, some for the family, but all are for fun!
Tennis Events
Tennis Events include Men’s and Ladies’ Night that include free beer or wine. The Tennis Staff also special events such as “White’s and Woods”, “Member / Guest”, etc. Call the Pro Shop (336) 272-5049 for upcoming events.
Pool Events
The Pool Season begins and ends with Memorial Day and Labor Day parties on the deck. However, 4th of July is the most ‘celebrated’ holiday poolside party with games and contests, like:
- Biggest Splash (Men)
- Smallest Splash (Kids)
- Mixed Adult Relays
- Greased Watermelon (Kids)
- Diving for Money (Kids)
Of course, the pool has also been the site of ‘Flick and Float’ (movie night on the water) for the kids.
Club Events
Sherwood is a regular stop for Santa and the Easter Bunny, but the kids also enjoy a variety of other events throughout the year.
One party enjoyed the most is the New Member Party just after the pool opens. The evenings are still cool, the beer is free and the kids are glad to be back in the water. No wonder it’s such a hit?
The club also has St. Patrick’s Day parties, Bingo Nights, Mardi Gras, and other family friendly events.
Adult members get a chance to socialize at Thursday Night Football games in front of the big screen, or the occassional Wine Tasting in the club house.
